There is just something about you
The way you lean against the air
Towering over the world
The way your eyes read me so
And the way you smile when we talk
The way we joke like we understand one another
Yet there is so much unsaid between
The way you have no idea how much we have in common
Or how much I enjoy just having you there
If there was anything I do wish you could never know
It would be the day that you gave me butterflies
Just when you said "Hello".
I only say this because I know
That no matter what happens,
I can never be your girl.

I love the pattern! There are so many things about this poem that I'm loving right now..I love how it's blunt, honest...with lines like 'There is just something about you' that sound pretty similar to speech. It's not so wordy, not the kind of poem that looses you in the beautiful wording, so that what's going on in the speaker's head is more plain to see.
I love this :
The way we joke like we understand one another
Yet there is so much unsaid between
I adore, adore, adore.
