The Perfect Life

Walls of comfort surround on every side.
One door for exit that locks from the inside.
Windows to look out but none you can look in.
A maid to keep everything neat as a pin.
Phone only rings when conversation is desired.
Knocks are only heard when company is required.
Meals and snacks are served at my whim.
No exercise required to keep myself slim.
A pet that adores me and doesn’t need to go out.
Someone to console me whenever I pout.
Pats on the back for accolades gained.
Never a relationship that’s broken or strained.
Wouldn’t life be boring if everything was perfect?
If only for a week, I think we’d all like to try it.

I had to laugh when I saw the title and the two teaser lines... and do I detect a bit of emotion in there? Where was it, oh yes, the 'relations' part... maybe it was me, and you provided a springboard... hmmm... and replace pats on the back with hugs, and you have the human psyche...

    Hummm...

Yes, it would be boring. But that doesn't mean it wouldn't be fun to try it out! This is an enjoyable read, Katie. And it is amazing to me that you can turn out such fantastic work on a daily basis. Can't wait to see the next one!
