A crimson frame of autumn leaves
Outstanding 'neath the blue
Where rays of sunlight played
And colors of red and gold peeked through
They stretched across so lazily
In the woods throughout the day
And over the hills that climbed the west
The forest was in bright array
To the eyes of the beholder
It was such a beautiful scene
The trees all stood together
With leaves of red, gold and green
And before the setting of the sun
Colorful leaves reached out on high
To paint a picture lovely and fair
Called Autumn against the sky
And watching as the evening shade
Curtains closed across the day
I found Autumn's picture fair
Painted on my heart to stay

I love autumn. It's my favorite season. But it's not here yet. I have yet to enjoy my summer.
