We walk hand in hand
To the edge of the cliff,
Looking into the sun
As it sets below the waves.
This is the place where
We used to come
To be alone together,
To love one another.
I look into your eyes
To see you look away,
Across the red tinted sea
Towards the horizon.
The bracelet on your wrist
Glitters in the fading light,
A Birthday gift
From one heart to another.
The sun is almost gone
And I know it's time,
Look up to the skies
And let my hand drop to my side.
Walk to the edge
And turn in time
To see you fade away
With the last light of the sun.
