Age Is Just a Number

Age is just a number
It's when real maturaty sets in

The deference betweeen a child and an adult
The child has dreams of which the future can never come true
While an adult has dreams of which the past was still alive

A child is selfish and awards themselves like royalty
An adult is generous and will give but not take

A child always needs their own way
While an adult will turn the other cheek

A child is melo-dramatic
While an adult doesn't care

A child will bully others
While adults make their peace

At any age you can be a child
cause age is just a number
Its when real maturaty sets in

I really like how you wrapped up this poem as I believe the very same thing you do. I've never put much on the age of the body....I go by the age of the spirit and heart. Beautiful writing, and it's so true that at any age, you can be a child or you can be an adult. The world would be a better place if everybody could see the same thing.
