What is a Name?

I hear my name called and I think,
What is a name?
The title my Mother gave me upon birth?
Or something else?

Is a name something that should be given?
Or earned?

Do I keep my name after Death?
If not, why?
If so, was it mine before  birth?

Whatever my name is or may be,
Will you call me by it,
Or something else?

I think a name should not be in words,
But in the way you view yourself and others.
Something that makes your heart swell with adoration for the one you love
Or recognition for a long lost friend
Even after years without.

    a name is a tool given at birt, to be used. It is nothing compaired to the person you become as you live and grow, the deeds you do. A word, it can be cursed it can be changed it can be forgotten, but the deeds you do, the actions you take whatever you say, will ALWAYS live on, even if your name does not.
