for the very first time
i have discovered
the bitter truth of life
for the very first time
i know the truth behind that awfully painful feeling
love
i know its true meaning
though the course is quite surprising
didn't see that coming
i am in love
i am in love
i am in awe of love
no man
nor woman
holds my heart
then what?
what could possibly have been able
to reach out and snatch my heart
in a painful yet euphoric hold
words
words of truth and wisdom
words of pain and suffering
words have touched my heart
not even my own words
could hold my heart so strong
and make feel this way
stranger words and experiences
stranger thoughts and feelings
powerful and forceful
i am not the only one
who suffers this affection
for an unknown source
i am not alone
in my fall from all i knew
i am not alone
love warms my soul
as pain fills my heart
and i know the truth
i've fallen in love with poetry
not my own
