The River

Mighty river wide and true.
With your water ever so blue.
You flow smooth and cool.
And sometimes can even be cruel.

Sometimes your calm sometimes your rough.
All day long you are running tough.
Your waves can be pleasent or hard to break.
We sail upon you and forget what we take.

You provide us with entertainment and joy.
To us you are just a great big toy.
The only thing you demand is respect.
Unfortunaly sometimes we forget.

Mother nature isn't to be messed with. It's best to respect her power, that way we can also respect her beauty. Well expressed!

    Beautifully written...
Definitely the truth at the end...
But the rivers are ever so lovely...
