Rain touches in contrasts;
the cold drops remind me we are warm,
holding on to growing smiles until
the moment we decide, oh hell,
we'll just splash around until cold and warm combine in motion.
We dance, spin, hurtle our bodies
like droplets springboarding off leaves,
heightening into a white noise in this forest clearing.
The pitter-patter overhead
like a choir of gentle whispers.
In rain my thoughts of love grow deeper ---
must be that love and rain touch in similar ways,
the contrasts of cold and warm pulling
us together, steam getting cozy
between touching foreheads and touching lips.

oh this is so beautiful you paint landscapes with your words.... and this is the kind of poem I love!!
We dance, spin, hurtle our bodies
like droplets springboarding off leaves,
just as I said beautiful !!
