    why did you remove this? its beautiful! unless I was asking for traditional only?

    I enjoy reading and writing modern and traditional...actually the 5-7-5 are hardest i believe...

    ahh so this is how it might be done, there is a wonderful depth here the actions of moon, earth and sun a true observation and truly the art and beauty of the moment... when birds roost, animals go silent, and people often find a sense of reverence...a wonderful haiku...h

    a beautiful haiku. i once wrote an Afrikaans poem about the eclipse - i think it was in 2006/2007, lol. yours is just wonderful.

    Wow, a haiku by MariGoes with no comments...have I walked into a parallel universe?

    This isn't about a moon is it...though I know haiku isn't supposed to be about metaphors and all that crap. Still...

    Of course here, silence is more a visual than a literal sound. It's that aura of silence. Kind of like when I walk into a room it goes silent.....

        Why the "Hm?" a fellow can't wonder if a poet has said more despite the rules of the form she is writing? Look at the thing, you can see why I thought you might have tossed in another layer.

        I know it's an eclipse, geesh.
