Bruce

I'm living now with my boyfriend, Justin
We're getting married on top of Mount Scott
In our wildlife refuge

About two months ago, we added the first member of our family
His name is Bruce and he's a five month Miniature Dachshund
He's a brownish red color
And just full of energy

He bounces all over the place
and he's just hard to keep track of

He's now barking and wont stop
He barks at the smallest things,
But he loves running under the bed
and when you get down to get him out,
He starts barking at you
And will run forward and then back up
While barking and growling

He's five months old and has what Justin calls "big dog syndrome"
He looks confident all the time
Always alert
And takes on the big dogs
Well once he gets used to them
Otherwise he will bark and bark
Until the big dog gets close and he turns around and runs

So, he thinks he's all big and bad
But in reality, he's no more than a tiny puppy
That loves to jump in your lap
And stay at your feet

Our adorable little Bruce
Also has demetric mange, I believe it's called
And it cost about eighty dollars for each dip and there's three of them

Justin bought Bruce from a redneck in Cache, Oklahoma
The guy and his daughter lived in a rundown place
With animals everywhere
And Justin even told me that they had a horse tied up to a barbed wire fence

If Bruce stayed there any longer,
Then chances are
the little guy would've most likely died

I'm glad Justin saved the little one
to be a loving member of our family
