Light guides home

The light so bright it hurts the eyes
Is the same that graces the night skies
When reflected in the face of gentle moon
The harshness of late afternoon
Calls one to stop and contemplate
One's place
One's life
One's love
One's fate

Author notes

Kelle Marie,
What I think I am trying to say is don't stare strait into the source of your pain; look only at its reflection in the face of a trusted friend. Your son would want you to be happy in his memory. He is close by, only a whisper away; he can listen; and may be allowed to speak to your heart in dreams...

I'm still in awe for I thought this is just brilliant. You know I was really able to soak in the poem before I ever even read the author notes and then I cried.
