Funny How life works with its twists and turns;
much like riding a roller coaster blindfolded.
Just when you think you know where you're going...
A u-turn is up ahead.
Flashback to senior year of high school;
A fleeting thought sets me apart from reality.
"It'll never happen," I say...
Thought fades
Some say God is trying to write a comedy.
He must have been laughing pretty hard when that thought went away.
Funny (or not?) how life works;
The two of us heartbroken just a year later
Both not wanting to let go of those that broke our hearts.
Both unaware that the other is in pain.
Exchanging only smiles and 'how are you?' 's after church...
Fleeting thought returns...
"But I go back to college tomorrow," I say...
Thought fades.
Just another year later;
An invitation to your open house.
Fleeting thought returns...
only this time it stays...
No more excuses not to try.
Now here we are,
three years after that first fleeting thought;
Who knew it could become a reality?
And come to find out...
