"...fixedness-without a place;
There were no stars, no earth, no time,
No check, no change, no good, no crime
But silence, and a stirless breath
Which neither was of life nor death;
A sea of stagnant idleness,
Blind, boundless, mute, and motionless!"
from THE PRISONER OF CHILLON
by Lord George Gordon Byron
Thomas Hobbs says ALL is matter-in-motion.
It's physical, material, can be seen, can be squeezed.
Religious believers are free of that notion
With a spiritual link to God made down on their knees.
They pray to an eternal world of forms,
Without matter-in-motion, but real just the same,
Except there's no evil with the other human norms;
And there is no pain; Heaven is its name.
Jesus said marriage is not done in Heaven,
No kissing, no loving of the physical kind.
Everyone is perfect and everyone is even,
But there's no reproduction; so keep that in mind.
What do we do where evil is not present?
Sing praises to God forever and forever.
Jesus is King with everyone's consent.
Democracy, no, there is no room to differ.
How can there be any freedom at all?
The Devil left Heaven; wish him well in Hell.
Could he be free there to have a ball;
And maybe Hell lasts for a shorter spell.
Will we all become one spiritual organism?
With or without motion, where would we go?
This is the promise of the Christian baptism.
When life takes forever, one can go slow.

love, love your questions
there are as many answer has there are human beings
so many perceptions, so many thoughts, to find the answer, perhaps we need to go above the mind.
exceptional outstanding write
God bless you my friend...
's for you

Good! Good! I am glad when I find entries where the poet asks the hard questions. There are too many (for my liking) in this contest who seem to be adopting a position, rather than getting to grips with the philosophical depths and the questions they pose. Thank you for this.

-
I liked the questions you presented in the final verse of the poem. Very well expressed...Your points are well taken my friend!

-
Flawless flow to the rhyming verse---a very thought provoking piece causing the reader to become quite contemplative trying find the answers--
An overall, excellent composition and also, A great choice of Title!
Very well done and I wish you all the best of luck in the contest!

I really like this! It’s different than your usual writings. You delve into deep philosophical realms and bring your readers with you. All done with beautiful flow and meter! Well done!
Love,

A deeply thought poem, good Ellis.
Thank you for sharing your poetic mind with such a powerful poem as this one is.

Line two in stanza five: Max and Blaze say the same thing about dogs. Dog is God spelled backwards. When dogs leave God is good. Mark Twain, I think, said something to the effect that human beings are the only creatures that would or could or have created a heaven where none of the joys they know are present or, indeed, allowed.
Milton said, if I remember, something interesting about the way beings communicate in heaven. I'll have to search it out. I think it has to do with some of the philosophies of what existence in heaven might be. It's been too long since I've reread Paradise Lost. What a beautiful insightful thoughtful poem. Filled with great questions. Good luck in the contest!

Wonderful-Profound...
Wise ponderings on ontologic, teleologic, mytheological (MYTHOLOGY AND THEOLOGY -- my Cheetah coined the word for lack of meows.) and spiritual matters, (Perhaps I should say: and religious matters of faith.) through the lines of "The Theocracy of Heaven".
Readers are like hummingbirds and bees --– waiting for the flowers of the Poet’s garden –-- with petals diffusing the scent of creativity; knowledge and wisdom.
I always feel that way when I come through the gardens of the Castle Poetry of the author "The Theocracy of Heaven".
I salute You, Poet.
In respect and admiration,
Andre Emmanuel Bendavi ben-YEHU
