The Sleeping Babe

In the crib
across the room
I see a child
waiting to bloom

In a deep slumber
tired from his day
of all the eating,
sleeping, and play

He doesn't worry much now
about what he should do
with the rest of his life
what job he will pursue

Do not fear, sweet child
you will see fast enough
that this beautiful world we live in
can sometimes be tough

try to Stay a child
as long as you can
because one day, soon enough
you will become a man

So sweet dreams, little babe
good night to you
Tomorrow is a beautiful day
a day bright, wonderful, and new

What did you think
