Geisha.

Pic: Malice by ~RedSigns

Scarlet petals feel lost and lonely
in a shiver of thoughts
the harvest of my dreams
is now suspended
between closeness and oblivion.

Like roses in my garden
organised in a row are my lovers
who gather impatient in my address book.

Convinced by my façade
they carry on existing inanely
I watched how rapidly they breathe
as I lie through my phony smile.

I watch the remains of themselves dissolve
with an ambiguity they cannot decipher
now their voices ride clouded unicorns,
to sooth an absent future.

I am the geisha of a lonely modernity
I protect my face from sun darts
knowing that in my hands
they stand, staring at my porcelain face
flawless beyond compare
slowly as the atmosphere is getting cooler
tomorrow seems so uncertain...

What a beautiful little image you were given to work with here, I often wonder how hosts find these images at all.

Great work on the piece, captured the image well.

    I'm speechless

This was beautifully done. It captured the spirit and the sublimness of a Geisha. I really liked the line about lovers organized in a row. Wonderful read

I love the thoughts that you've given this photo, really from the subject's mind and not objective assumptions. Very enjoyable write.

Really lovely, a poetic picture scraped in roses...an address book of scarlet pedals.
