Newborn child
Comes into existence
Nothing to hear
Nothing to see
Nothing to smell
Nothing to taste...
Only a mother's love to feel.
Newborn child
Afraid at first
What's happening?
What's all this noise?
What's happening to me?
Nothing to see
Nothing to smell
Nothing to taste
Only sounds of anxious, agonizing cries
Newborn child
Blinded by light
Where am I?
Who are these others?
Nothing to smell
Nothing to taste
Only a frightening sight, a room in white
Newborn child
Crying now
I can finally breathe!
Nothing to taste
Only a hospital smell
Newborn child
Can almost sense all
But the last is not about taste at all
A mother and child's first bonding time
Priceless moment
Anxiety gone
No sense is better
Than that unbreakable bond.

Nice piece. Flows well, and the content is great. Just wasn't looking for the sensory words themselves to be used - was looking for the senses themselves. How does it feel, taste, sound? The descriptions weren't there, so if the instructions were unclear, I apologize.
Thanks for entering.
Sincerely,
~
