I tend to think
that we bear
the responsibility
for Him
rather more than
He returns the compliment
He is dead you see
and that assumes
that he ever lived....
if it only took
six days to create
this life, this world...
small wonder
that it is such
a mess
Author notes
god? ha! I'd cook him a blinding good meal and talk into the small hours. He has not replied to the invitation yet.......

This is terrific! I don't know whether to laugh or cry. I think your author note should be part of the piece. It's quite a stinger. Once again, a strong, wonderful write.
Fondly,
Camille

Thank you Camille - I am often in two minds about god/God..... This was one of my non believing days.... sometimes, when I go to the outside of a little saxon church near my old home, I feel that there may be something important happening - but it's mostly transient..... xx D

Six days?
Prolly done on a cost-plus gummint program, to boot.
The cement's mostly sand, the rebar is pasta, roofing
on the cheap and paint a bit watery.
Of course the present tenants don't pay rent and dig
holes in the backyard looking for treasure. And they've
plugged up the plumbing to boot. Love your take.

Well, Ramsay, I suppose getting over the guilt I have had instilled into me by 13 years in the convent and also, that nagging 'what if'? ! I am a confused person you see! I think I am agnostic rather than atheist..... oh heck, who knows....... xx Kipper
