Words can lift, console, inflame
Words are attitudes spoken or written
Ideas and Ideals put out there
Words can kill someone's spirit
Or raise it to the heavens.
"I love you" the most notable
Sounds like honey from the comb
Dripping sweetly from lips adored
Response of "I love you too"
Completes the love cycle
Begins the new relationship
Which hopefully will last
Unless some other words are said
That destroy instead.
Remember, life is the sweet dessert
Of a meal well eaten!
