so i have this problem of writing in character when it really doesn't make sense since i am kind of just a character on this site anyways. of course, the problem is that when i write in character they always adopt my life and my problems so it becomes me telling my secrets through the voice of a character who rightfully shouldn't even know i exist. i can be quite manipulative i guess, so naturally i want to get involved. a series of letters that tell a story about the lives of two people who don't exist is a brilliant idea. here is the character whose life i wish to dictate.
Mcguire "Mcky" Lane: he has just aged out of foster care and his girl is pregnant. they're fighting 'cause really he just wants he to have an abortion and get rid of the thing, especially since she's on drugs and it isn't like they have health insurance or anything. but she already loves it, so she says when she's doped up. and it's a sin, so she says when she's sober. worst of all, she insists on calling the thing "jude".
your character is perhaps his best friend, thinking he's right and he needs to split and fast. or perhaps they are a young man/woman hoping to adopt and trying to convince him that the baby is better off with them. maybe they're one of the chick's girl friends saying he's a bastard and a baby killer. maybe it's his alcoholic mother/father telling him they are straight this time for good.
maybe it is another woman, saying she's pregnant, saying he's the daddy. that's up to you. it's your character's life to screw up.
