It was one of those things,
the things that only happen in books or movies,
and never to me, I had never been so lucky.
Wandering - it is what I am best at.
Midnight with stars in the sky so bright
you would think you could reach out
and capture them in a jar,
Dew on the air that sticks to your skin, forming goosebumps,
and that moon, the one that illuminates
everything with a brilliant blue light.
There she was, sitting alone in the tall soft grass,
head down on her raised knee, tears in her blank eyes.
It was tragic in every sense of the word.
I wanted to go to her, call out to her,
not even knowing her I wanted to save her.
But the night was so quiet
and I had never realized how loud that quiet could be.
She sat there, her pale skin glowing against the darkness,
unmoving, I couldn't be sure if she was real or fiction.
How I longed to touch her, to bring her to my chest
in comfort and reassuring that everything would be okay now.
I've never been the best with people,
but for her, I would chance it.

i chose this part of the song for my prompt:

Which was impressive,
Very impressive, I had to test it."

interesting take on the prompt, I know it was prob. a difficult one. I liked the story you told her, but i felt it could have use more "poetic elements", I'd rather you SHOW me rather then just tell me, overall a solid write, thanks for entering!
