CRUSH[ed]

Stepped on like a soda can
But my aluminum heart
you did not recycle.

You trashed it instead
allowing it to sit
forever in a landfill
For the birds to pick at
The dogs to chew up
The critters to live inside.

Aluminum does not decompose
So I will experience this painful demise
until the end of time.
