I never felt this way before/ I never thought wrath-filled winds Would wretchedly wreak and soar/ I never knew that worse/ Could get worse than worse/ I never imagined this could be/ I never expected,anticipated,thought/ That worse would blow/ I always thought that at the dark treacherous/ Tunnels end was a beautiful bright light/ And the fresh crisp air and breath of life/ I never knew...twas the headlights of a tearing train.
Author notes

"I never knew that worse/Could get worse than worse"
You live long enough and you know this to be true! So many are fooled by the lights at the end of the tunnel...until it's too late! That's why I'm keeping my ear to the ground too from now on ... and using my peripheral vision Eyes can sometimes trick the senses. I enjoyed your poem!

Beautiful! Delightful! I love the judicious use of alliteration. I love the last line! I love the twist! I love the use of the word "tearing" in describing the train.
