Death and Judgement

Missing image
Humanity has an appointment with death
a scheduled time mandated to keep,
the day and hour we draw our last breath
and into eternity each soul shall leap.

It is appointed to man once to die
we then shall have to face our judge,
the God of creation who cannot lie
from truth and righteousness will not budge.

As judge and jury asking unto us all
"On earth, what did you do with me?",
those who rejected shall take the fall
the ones which accepted are eternally free.

In HIS government there are no court of appeals
final judgment is what he renders,
on screen plays your life the evidence unreels
with no witnesses called or public defenders.

Judging each according by works and deeds
all before him shall give an account,
of a life from sowing good and bad seeds
with what measure was sown will be judged that amount.

To every soul the damned and redeemed
their life's purpose will be revealed,
down regretful faces shame's tears are streamed
the fate of each irreversibly sealed.

There is good news to avoid this sorrow
today is the day of acceptance,
come to him now there's no promised tomorrow
seal your salvation with humble repentance.

God sent his son Jesus to die on the cross
that NO man on earth should perish,
sinless and blameless he suffered our loss
bringing eternal life to a world he does cherish!!!!

This is beautiful and so true. The rhyme and flow are good, the imagery is lovely, but the message is outstanding. Excellent poem.

You have witnessed here dear sister! That is all you are commissioned to do. That is your Earthly purpose...to spread the Good News, and you have done it in Light and Truth! The reality is...we have always lived in "the last days" for no one knows the date or time, which means we should be every ready, watching and waiting... Sound the alarm dear sister! The time is at hand, "and every knee shall bow, every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord"!

Amen & Amen! Thank you for this on this day!

    Always with LOVE ♥

In this day and age where certain fiaths are denied and betrayed by our leaders I wonder if Armageddon is not near. But alas, will only the one faith that screams out in anger and defiance be heard then? We are remiss in our beliefs that we need not a God. Well done.
