She Was Like Wallpaper

Concealing cracks and undone stitches, a life of gloom and pain ,
she'd put up a creamy wall of dull life , and wash away the rain .
She used to lean up against hinges and talk to her mind wandering ,
she always felt like someone was watching ,but no one was listening .

A Girl with a whole life of joy, was stuck inside an unremovable mask ,
how sad to watch her struggle with wound , and try to accomplish the task.
It was so sad to watch her cry and keep the pain hidden from pride ,
I wish I could know what that felt like , to be burning the soul inside .

Poor girl , she never talked to any one but herself , just shifted with her eyes away ,
she'd cautiously approach you ,watching you through and then she'd stand away.
I wish I could talk to her , tell her to tear of the wallpaper bind ,
which always held her back from happiness and left her lagging behind.

She must have been brave , and courageous sure , to face upto such pain ,
everyone did shed sly looks & concluded that she was insane .
No one stopped to wonder why she went through such horrific times ,
Her parents had left her stray , when she was a child of Five .

She was never given a chance , never  a second look , just a retributed tale ,
Acknowledge her , the brave girl , who was so strong for the world so pale .
