a moment

Intense, pure light drifted down
toward the dusky horizon

A sunbeam found me
past desks and walls
that could not mute its shine

As I stood bathed in its light and warmth

he said,

“For a person of faith …
this is a good sign”

Very cool. The light embraces us all, regardless of the dark we perceive. Simply and elegantly stated. I rode the beam of light in the eyes of my mind.

Ah, you paint quite a vivid image for the readers (I), a very well written poem. You write fairly similar to I, using run-ons that break past lines. Kudos!

I love this, this is so beautiful and uplifting, so filled with "light" in so many ways. In brevity you have said so much. I'm so glad you posted this!
