Alone, I drove slowly down the road.
Radio, the last news and music I do not like
tried to break my thoughts.
Just a move of hand,
a soft touch of my finger,
and they have all gone.
Magic.
The soft, soothing sounds of the engine,
the wind through the open window
and wheels' rustle on the asphalt
were my only companions.
I felt so alone in the small silvery shell,
lost on this well known road.
In the middle of the cabbage field, a man.
He was there, like a long lost picture
accidentally found in the album
at a place where it doesn’t belong.
Something in his posture reminded me of you.
Behind his back a setting sun halo,
and the sudden pain of loneliness
pierced behind my eyes
a balloon full of water.
Fifteen minutes later I was back,
driving with no clear destination
just to spent time.
He wasn’t there anymore.
Only the half-ripe corn
waved my way their green hello
with the sharp, long leaves.
In a list
Please tell me what you think...

i also dont like to break my thoughts. especially when you finally get some alone time to just chill and collect your thoughts. solitude is sometimes too sweet, just remember that others exist too!

A Lesson in Loneliness
It is amazing the thoughts that enter our heads when we allow our minds to dwell on what has been and what will be.Driving down the road of life can be a very daunting and lonely journey unless you have someone to share the time with.
-
all alone
not sound
a silcence to keep for yourself
I hope you enjoy your peace but dont let it haunt you'
at times there will be someone there that you can see to be a friend
they might look mean but give them a chance
there is a friend in your croud, even if there is nothing to see, there is something out there to see

Your ending lines are just stunning, my Friend. Such a dagger through the yearning heart. Good luck in the contest, Sweetie.

SIMPLY AND WONDERFULLY TOUCHING
Just reading your revelrie as you are riding down this road has brought back to me so many moments when much the same has happened to me. I find myself in these thoughts as I rode alone down back roads, riding bicycle on a solitary trail, and just sitting alone on my favorite bench listening to all around me. Ah! Such sweet moments , thoughts, ideas and dreams, wonderful times of reflection for me.
