My love, my heart, my rock.
I cherish you more than you'll ever know,
the smiles you bring,
the laughter you share,
and the tears you wipe away.
The confidence you find in me,
when I've none in myself,
the courage you mirror in me,
when my strength all but fails,
when I wake up, tearful and sweaty,
broken down from dreaming darkness.
When the days seem hopeless,
all lost among my swimming emotions,
muddled up, deformed.
You change it, change me,
taking the puddle of tears, anger, bitterness,
making it something to be proud of,
making me proud of myself.
Without my rock I may fall unsteady,
without my heart, I'm nothing but ash,
without my love, I'm words with no meaning,
wishing to be from a poets lips.
