and Lord I come for Your embrace
to hold tightly my grand-daughter
to show your love, rest, peace and grace.
Oh Lord please touch her little heart
please make it strong- making it whole.
Give peace to hold and hope that brings
salvation to her little soul.
Author notes
My grand-daughter Madison, 7 years old, went into congestive heart failure 2.5 weeks ago. She is in pediatric ICU. They say she has Rheumatic fever and they haven't been able to get it under control. The Rheumatic fever has attacked the valves in her heart. Her red blood cells are bursting and she has to have blood every day now. She was flown last Tuesday to the children's hospital in Gainesville Florida but they haven't been able to help her get better. Thursday they will be discussing options for Madison which will include: open heart surgery, heart transplant or to continue the treatment she is on now...
Please pray for Madison and her parents...

So tough...to read your author notes. But a beautiful prayer. Hope she will be stronger soon. Will say many prayers. *hugs*

Melissa,
I know how frightening something like this can be when it's an innocent child. My grand-daughter (age six) suffers from a genetic disorder that will leave her disfigured and, in the end, shorten her life. She will not survive past her early twenties.
All we can do is trust in the Lord and his wisdom.
I'll pray for her recovery and for God to strengthen the family.

She is in my prayers Melissa, and I called Kathy and she will be praying too. So hard for Madison and mom and dad and gramma too to have to face something like this.
All my love and many hugs to you. Beautiful job on the poem too. Sometimes the heart gets so full of words they just have to come out.

My heart and prayers
go out to precious little Madison. May the gracious Lord see fit to lift her up from her bed of affliction and restore her health and strength that she may once again be with her loving family and out of the cold, sterile hospitals.
Loving and caring write,
write on my friend!

Your strength founded in the Lord is evident here. He has made you a pillar in the house of your family.
May He your request for Madison and glorify Himself for the benefit of the family. I, of course, agree with this supplication wholeheartedly.
