Sit
as the bitter rain
pours
down your stiff
fossilized skin
you melt
in the
corrosive
acid
that pours from
the heaven.
You watch as
pieces of
you
float away -
streams full of
inky
chemicals
accompanied by
a lonely
soggy
cigarette

Vivid imagery
I did not look at the image first, but I get the inspiration. As I read, it brought to mind thoughts of the ice caps melting as the world warms up and the slow decay of historic buildings from the pollution. An overall sombre and satisfying read.

save for the fact that the image is female, a pleasant reminder of a few yesterdays. Your depiction is an excellent dose of reality that is easily related

I sensed just a little bitterness in this when I went back and read it a second time. Well written might I say, best to you in the contest
