Why don't you sleep in peace
What are your persistent nightmares?
Forget them, release
The grasp upon the cares.
Lay your body on your bed
Watch the angel catch your tears.
Let the dream above your head
Obliterate your fears.
Content is the invisible crescent
It will guard your slumber.
Enwrapped in the darkness midnight spent
Sweet and somber.
The sweetest maiden will follow
Guide you on the safest bridge into night
And in the middle of a night so hollow
She'll be your young delight.
Look, do you see the sparkle of silver
Peering down from the sky's field of secret dew?
Forever hold on to your hope, for
There will always be one watching you.

Beautiful write...thanks for entering.

I love the ending of this; am a big 'angel' fan and enjoy the idea of someone watching over us - our own personal guardian. Whilst I'm not sure this would bring me, as a child, feelings of safety & release, that last stanza does make it all up for me

Excellent...I loved the line that says watch the angel catch your tears. You amaze me of your age, I wonder if your mom told you these things when you were little, this is endearing, heart felt...one typo...brige-bridge. Loved it dear one. Blessings.
