Truth is harder to believe
Than all the lies I’ve told.
So why is it you’re not deceived?
How is it you can read my soul?
You listen close to all my tales,
When others turn away.
With each new truth that I unveil
We grow closer, day by day.
The stories flow, the words spill out.
I fear I’ve said too much.
And yet each time I’m struck by doubt,
My fear is banished by your touch.
With your help, I lift the mask.
I hope you like what’s hid beneath.
Loving fantasy was no big ask…
Truth is harder to believe.

This is dedicated to my dear friend Phoebe. I want to thank her for believing me when no one else does. Thank you.

nice. i like how your write is a little different from the other ones that used this title. the rhyme was a bit cliche, but it flowed well. the truth is indeed sometimes harder to believe than lies. but i would always want the truth no matter what.
thanks for the entry! -
