If I could go back to any place in time,
I would choose I day that he was still mine.
I don't think I could choose just one single day,
To many good memories come rushing my way.
Wishes never do come true, and the dreams never last,
There is no going back to times of the past.
If I got the chance to see him, even for just one day,
I would tell him that I never wanted things to end this way.
I would tell him that I am sorry for everything that went wrong,
maybe I would even mention that I I still cry each time I hear that song.
I think of him quite often, and wonder what he is doing with his life,
He had a new girlfriend, did he make her his wife?
I hear he has a baby now, can't believe he is a dad,
Don't get me wrong, I am happy for him, but is does make me kind of sad.
I used to think that would be us some say,
But things don't often go my way.

Thank you for reading my poem! It's funny, as short as it is, it took me forever to write, and I am still not sure that I it's done yet. Maybe I'll check out some of your stuff some time!
