Fosse Grimm

A spirit bound
by earthen ground
she frolics joyfully.

Mischief Caused
at every chance,
a trance bestowed
with every dance,
as the music flowed
whimsically.

I recall a time
when I met the muse,
she played a tune
I could not refuse,
under her spell
I quickly fell,
and I obeyed
her graciously.

For Grimm, indeed
was lonely you see,
yet finally agreed
to heed my plea,
ceased her spell
that I could tell,
and released me
altruistically.

When I told the tale
in my home town,
all the townsfolk rallied
to hunt her down,
but could not find
this captor of mine,
lying dormant
respectfully.

Unable to ignore
the story you see,
Mr. Jacobs came
and inquired of me,
to show him the way
the very next day,
to my captors
residency.

Mr. Jacobs wanted
to see this time,
Grimm for himself
hear music sublime,
how could I tell
a man so kind,
Fosse Grimm,
existed in my mind.

A bit puzzled by the named personages. Any references to Grimm's fairy tales or am I misinterpreting?

Wow, this is very well-written and flows beautifully with rhythm and rhyme! I like the story it tells...holds fantasy but it can easily hold truth, as well. I like your style.

  • I did notice though that inquired need not be capitalized and the poem ends with a question but there is no question mark. It is obviously a well written poem and I thought you wanted to know.

existed in your mind- a love so divine.
inspiration exists in this love tale.

IT"S ALL GREAT, BUT I'M CHOOSING TO HIGHLIGHT THIS for what you put together here holds such truth and wonderment.
