Hold me close, in your arms
Bodies warm, pressed together,
The feeling I’m protected.
I know it won’t last long,
That you’ll leave as soon as you get the call,
That you’ll go back to her,
That it’s her arms in which you sleep,
Her you’ll protect.
Looking through me when you pass me in the street
Ignore me as she laughs and smiles up at you,
My heart breaking as I walk past,
Tears that fall on the inside,
How I wish I was her,
The object of your affection
The one you Love.
I can’t help but welcome you back,
Arms and heart open,
Every time,
Listen to your promises,
Broken,
Like my heart,
When you answer the call,
When you leave me cold and alone,
Again.
Author notes
So i wrote this while listening to music, after watching a movie... even though the music and movie were of very different notes...
It just happened, k?
Please tell me what you think

Just happened, eh? Well, just happened seems to work out just fine in this case. Very well written and full of a lot of, dare I say, personal experience(?). If nothing else, you have quite a grasp on the emotions that someone in this situation feels, and it makes my heart ache as if I were hurting just like the write above. Excellent write, love.

Thank you, it's been awhile since I wrote anything I thought was worth posting, so I was quite happy with this. And fortunately enough, no personal experience in this kind of relationship.
I'm glad you liked it.
