Summer's End

Here it is - the summer’s end.
It is unwanted, and unwelcome,
Yet, it is unavoidable.

The time for fun and games has ended,
And it is time once again to work.
However, this summer’s end and this new beginning, also bring a girl to her knees.

This new beginning is accommodated by unspeakable horrors.
The girl sits alone in the dark, hoping with all she is that this year will be different;
She has been broken, and her heart cannot take anymore.

She needs the one whom she loves to come save her from these terrifying thoughts,
She needs him to hold her, and promise that he will not leave her alone.
She wants to be by his side forever…

All she can do is wait –
Silently endure the pain;
And hold on to him more than she ever has before.

Author notes

Something I kind of just threw together..feeling pretty down now that school is starting. When school starts, it's followed by many other things.. :/

NOTE: It seems that everything I feared when writing this poem has happened. School has been in for a week, and so far it's worse than last year. Nothing is going right and it's driving me absolutely mad. Some people really do need to mind their own business. I would love for school to be over for good - graduate this year and let my life begin. But, I suppose that's not going to happen, is it? Oh well. I'll get over it eventually. But, for now, FML.

    Geeezz, you make it sound like Westside is a hell-hole. My God, it really isn't THAT bad, hunnie. Hehe. Don't foget about all your friends and everyone you'll get to see when school gets back in.
    Love you, hunnie, see you sometime soon.
