SECOND HAND WIFE
Poor lil thing!
Here’s a little story about a gal named Rose
She was a small little gal with very long toes
Her shoes were second hand but so were all her clothes
And guess what, she also had a second hand nose
Poor lil thing!
When she was growing up, she never had a lot
And all of life’s lessons she has never forgot
There were very hurtful names like elephant snout
She was called many names, way too many to count
Poor lil thing!
She had saved up her money for years and for years
Twas a fund she set up for her nose not her ears
The Doc needed twelve hundred, she was almost there
But that’s not too much money, she thought it was fare
Poor lil thing!
Her teeth was a bucking, her lips thin little lines
She had a second hand smile which got her a fine
Her beady little eyes barely shown past that thing
That thing on her face, was it a nose or a wing
Poor lil thing!
Well she had it removed now a new ones in place
And she just couldn’t wait to show off her new face
She wondered if the Doctor had took off enough
So she walked down the street just a strutting her stuff
Poor lil thing!
A stranger in town saw this petite little gal
He walked up and ask if he could be her new pal
He’d been married before and was ready again
He courted her for weeks with a treasure-cat grin
Poor lil thing!
Life’s not quite second hand if we take a firm stand
And never except anything that’s second hand
Unless it’s an ear, a face lift or a new nose
But that’s not why we all called her second hand Rose
Poor lil thing!
She had a bud of a nose, that went to her head
She told this new stranger to back off or drop dead
She’d already had enough hardships, in her life
And wasn’t about to be a second hand wife
Poor lil thing!
Smart lil thing!

Hand me downs never suited me. Maybe thats cos i'm almost 6ft and my older sister is barely 5ft lol

This was sad yet funny, humorus yet profound, I liked it! although why should the girl think she was second hand to a guy she hardly new? hmmm insecurity does this, so home says let have a beer to celebrate a very thought provoking poem gagagagagah
