White Doves In Love..

On beauteous evenings, this is where they would be
Perched on the grill, facing the sea,
As the wind chimes trite, far pleasurable scents
Wafting with the breeze when the sun descents..

It fills the air, their cooing call of love
The 'he-little' dove to the 'she-little' dove,
With birdlings fed and twigs gathered for the nest
This time of the day, they love it best.

They have soared high, have flown on the big blue sky
Together they have seen the lands above which they fly,
Tales and dreams, they have shared them all
From the Summers past to their hopes for Fall..

On beauteous evenings, this is where they would be
Perched on the grill, facing the sea..

wow..."Tales and dreams, they have shared them all..." truly love is in the air...this is so beautiful with a dreamy yet calming effect...I love the fact that you repeat the 'on beauteous evenings...' part for it means to me that they will be together until eternity...and that's really what love is...God bless!!!

'The 'he-little' dove to the 'she-little' dove,' - I like that line!

'perched on the grill'. What grill? I'm seeing poor little doves cooking away on the barbeque, which is awfully sad!

Very lovely poem. Nice and pretty, except for the burning birds - I don't like that thought!

This is a lovely and delicate poem Archana.
Such tender imageries, it is liking looking at an idyllic painting
