Notes escape the speakers,
vibrations shake the ground.
My arms wrapped around your neck,
your arms cradle my waist gently.
We took the spotlight.
Others around us watch,
but some dance as well.
Small moments grow larger.
This was never,
instead, there is a soft breeze.
Tall, green grass in this meadow.
Here, we dance to our own beat.
No one was near,
it was only you and me.
You eyes glistened so brightly,
I might have mistaken them for stars.
You pulled me closer,
my face gets hot.
I never thought it was possible,
but we seemed to to sway ever more softly.
My eyes cannot leave yours,
you lean in to kiss me.
I did the same, oh how close I was.
Then everything froze.
The background starts to melt away.
I look to you if to find help,
but only to see you fade.
I was alone.
I opened my eyes.
It was still dark.
I bury my face into my pillow,
and with that I cried.
I cried because I truly was alone.
God seems to torture me with this nightmare,
we will never be that way.
Fantasies are nothing but lies to me.
vibrations shake the ground.
My arms wrapped around your neck,
your arms cradle my waist gently.
We took the spotlight.

Author notes
This is how I feel and this is a real dream of mine. It really made me sad and it really hurts me every time I have it. This may not be my best written poem, but it is one of my favorite poems... maybe even my favorite over all.
What did you think

Its not to torture you honey
I truly believe that every dream is a flash of sometime in the future .Many times I have written down my dreams and over years have found and felt I have been here before .I go back to my book of dreams and sure enough it is like a retake of another life living parrallel with mine giving me glimpses of what is to be .
When you wake try to stay still and go back to sleep I have doe this and the dream commenced to show me more .
