The Bald Frog and the Wig

Once upon a time there was a bald frog.
How cold his crown had gotten.
So one day he ventured into the bog,
To visit the store of Raughton.

"Raughtons Rambunctious Wigs" was the name of the store.
The bell rang as he hopped through.
"Good day kind sir! We have wigs galore!"
"What can we do for you?"

"Well my head gets so cold in wintertime.
It chills me through and through!"
"I want something to have, for me, that's mine!
And will keep me quite warm too!"

Raughton laughed and looked at him.
A puzzled look on his face.
A snap of his fingers; he'd had a whim!
And picked up something of lace.

"Not quite right," Raughton said,
Holding it up to the frog.
"Something else to fit your head!"
And threw it down on a log.

Nineteen minutes the frog sat there,
While Raughton searched and searched.
His mind drifting to sleep somewhere,
On the stool on which he'd perched.

"AHA!" he heard, and startled, he fell.
The ground was cold as ice.
"This wig of weeds to you I'll sell!
This, I say, Would suffice!"

He pondered, the frog; Oh yes he did.
But he thought it would be best,
To buckle down and buy this wig.
Now.. to find a matching vest....
