What Might Have Been

why do i miss a man I've never met
things I've never known
a home that's not my home
a place that's not my space
with a face that holds my face
and hands that long to hold
tales that lie untold
futures that were left alone
places that I'll never go
Hugs that i may never show
why do I cry tears that will never go?

    I always

    close my eyes after I read a poem to try and picture the emotion withheld in it. This poem holds a lot of emotion and imagery. Great write!

    this is BEAUTIFUL. i love this poem. it voices the questions that everyone asks. i cannot pick my favourite part because i loved all of it. this made me feel sadness and pain and made me ask myself the same question. i loved the line "why do i cry tears that will never go?" Great job!
