Dear Life,
I was just wondering,
Why have you not been given a personification
when we always hear of Death being a living creature?
Is there an opposite to the Grim Reaper
that goes around and gives life, instead of taking it?
If there is, I am uninformed.
People are so obsessed with the dark side of everything
that we forget there is an enormously light side
We forget to appreciate our lives.
So many people don't understand you,
that we choose to fear you and stray away from you,
And yet we couldn't even do that if we didn't have you.
Life, you are so underrated
And we humans are so unfair to you
while we complain about you being unfair to us.
You've never been unfair
You've only given us what we've deserved
Because we will never be what we should be.
So thank you, Life,
for always being a part of us
And I hope you will stay with us for a long time
Sincerely,
Me

Author notes
Okay.
I was going through random older poems and found my old, horribly emo, depressing poem called Dear Death and i was like this poem is really stupid and I can't believe I was ever this depressed and unappreciative of my own breathing heart.
So then I decided to write a letter to life.

I really like this poem. It's cool that it contrasts so sharply with an early poem you've written.
