A heart beat too fast,
A flicker in time.
You see the light,
You feel the sign.
The night into day,
A minute to an hour.
Soar above the blue sky,
From a bud to a flower.
Listen to the new cries,
So pure with no past.
An innocent face,
In this world at last.

This was the first ever poem I wrote. I was in class, aged 15, bored and it just came to me and my love of poetry was born.

This was a great interpretation of a childs birth. And i love how in your stanzas state the maturing of the subject. I see the origin of your talent here. Great work.
