The need you have to see my need
To have this thing
With which you compare favorably
In your own mind,
Weakens my need. I don't need this.
I find I don't have to prove myself.
I am water, not wave.
You can't compare so favorably anymore,
You need what I have.
I need nothing else.

Author notes

Haven't written anything in ages! But recent events have left me ponderous & inspired. Bummer for life, plus for poetry.

    Eh...

    I don't think this was my favorite poem, but it definitely is worth reading and revising! The first line was kind of awkward. I didn't really get the poem, but you definitely have talent! Good job! Keep writing and improving!
