so do not cry or shed any tears.
I feel free and have no more pain,
and now I can smile once again.
Leaving you all was the hardest thing to do,
but I've gone to a better place where I'll wait for you.
I just have a few things that I would like to say,
so please bear with me if you may.
To my husband who I dearly loved so much,
I will miss your sweet and gentle touch.
I know we said till death do us part,
But forever you will always feel my love in your heart.
To my wounderful daughters.. I'm so very proud of all you have done,
the things you've set out to accomplish in life, and the battles you have won.
Please don't ever feel that I am very far away,
For I will always be in your hearts guiding your steps day by day.
To my son.. you were always there to help me on the good days as well as the bad,
you have been the best son, any mother could ever wish to have.
I'm wishing you the best my son, that this imperfect world can give,
and a priceless gift of health for you, for as long as you shall live.
To my nine grandchildren and their families of which I dearly love,
may God guide and protect you all until we meet again here up above.
May you have the courage and the wisdom to chart your own course,
With what ever life's pressures maybe or however great the force.
This part goes to my great-great grandbabies for is there is so many for me,
I'm thankful for the time God gave me, to meet you and have you sit upon my knee.
Always know dear great-great grandbabies that you're all special and deeply loved,
by many people there on earth as well as all of us here up above.
So now let me say this in closing...farewell to all my dear friends, farewell to my family,
For now God has come to take me.... to the promise land I see
Author notes
My grandmother passed away back in June of 99. She was in a coma for short time before she passed and I went to visit her when ever I could. These words came to me in a dream the night before she passed away. It was like through me she wanted a few words said to all before she could so home. I woke up that next morning and wrote this down just like it is and when I was finished I got the call she had just passed. This was read by me for her funeral and it touched everyone's hearts. Everyone said the words felt like they came straight from grandma .. and I believe they did just how she wanted it.My Grandmother was a great and wonderful woman and I enjoyed spending time with her when ever I could. She is greatly missed by all that knew her and loved her...
