Tears flow from my eyes,
crest over my cheeks
into the empty space
you once filled
deep in my heart...
We shared a single tear,
flowing into one another,
cleansing out the pain
dwelling within us both
now...
we cry apart, on separate sides
of our destiny...
We presented each other
a possibility of hope
and promise
We could almost see it,
touch it,
smell it,
and taste it
so close..
The intent of my words
fell silent to you.
I used deception,
not to hurt you,
but to unmask the anguish
blanketing your heart
and mine...
for you..
I can feel all your affliction,
your depression,
your distress,
yet I can not see them
or you...
I am blind...
Did you know
when your soul is bleeding,
I crave to become
its band-aid.
When you are dreaming
thoughts of despair,
demons all around you,
it hurts me,
not being there
for you..
When you are smiling,
I look for my camera,
wanting to be able
to show you the picture
as you begin to cry.
No longer do we share
a single tear,
yet I reach out
for another chance,
another moment,
another tear
yours...

Along with being able to sleep in another's presence is the ability to cry in front of someone, as well, or to weep together. I once told someone that I certainly don't mind a man that cries, I just didn't want someone who made a habit of it.

This is stunning!! This reminds me of my love and I and all that we are going through, and thoughts that we have shared since May. This reaches deep into my heart and soul for that one reason and one reason alone! You really pulled out all the stops on this one! I applaud you for this one!
