Black Roses Die Hard, Red Roses Live Harder

Red:    It wilted away within me.
The fire that kept my life at peace.
It burned away itself as my petals returned
          To Mother Earth.

Black:  It wilted away within me
All the life I could stand,
My heart has burned out as my whole body returns
          To Mother Earth.

Red:    Though I could easily live
          To see another day
The sun mocks me and the scalding flesh
The body is alive while my soul is dead.

Black:  Though I could easily live
          To see another day
I would let the sun slip away
My soul is alive as my body is dying.

Red:    Is this what I've always wanted?
          A life of questioning
          Whether these fantasies exist
I don't even know if I want them to.

Black:  Is this what I've always dreamed of?
          A life of damnation
They don't believe my dreams exist
I don't even know if I want to.

Red:    Though my life is a nightmare
          My heartbeats through the dark
          Maybe I'll get lucky
And the single star will help me find my wish.

Black:  Though my life is a nightmare
I see no stars, not even a moon.
            Maybe I'll get lucky
And there'll be one for me, too.

Black:  My heart will always fade.
Red:    My heart will always waver.
Black:  I'll die hard tonight
Red:    And tomorrow I'll live harder.
