The time has finally come for me to end my circle of tears,
For which I have endured, for one too many years.
Hurt was not a stranger to me,
And pain was a dear friend,
Yet every night I would prey
For it all to come to an end.
I grew to hate myself,
As if the problem was always me.
A shadow emerged within me,
Creating barriers around my heart
To prevent anything getting inside
And tearing it apart.
Years went by and still i remained,
With a wall protecting me through and through.
Until one day I met my prince, in a disguise that was you.
Immediately all my suffering was washed away.
The flowers bloomed, as night turned to day.
I watched as clouds cleared from the skies
and as the sunlight shone through your eyes.
I knew I had passed into another lifetime
Because from that moment you were definately mine.
We danced and kissed and laughed the months away,
And now we reminisce about yesterday.
we talk about how we'll eventually get married
And wonder at what stage our child will be carried.
We want to spend our lifetimes together,
Through thick and thin and all kinds of weather.
The truth is were happier than ever before
And since meeting you, my heart has restored.
So thank you, for everything you do,
And I hope you can see my true love shining through.
