Listless

This day I spent being all but what I meant
What I really meant to be
I'm not abused, I'm not confused
I just have the wrong value of me
Because I always will to do what I feel
And that is to not do a thing

I cannot pull myself up
I cannot lift my head up
My heart is lifted to me
I'm so lazy

I commit the crime of letting time go behind
Avoiding peace filling my lungs
So I just sit and stare from my desk or rocking chair, all because of me
I don't feel alive because this is not my life, I'm living like the dead
I can't wait for me and my sad body to give what I desire
A part of love is time and choosing to spend it right
If I believe why won't I be?

I cannot pull myself up
I cannot lift my head up
My heart is lifted to me
Until I choose to go beyond me with the strength I cannot see
I'm so lazy

I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. -Galatians 2:20

For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. Christ is your life. -Colossians 3:3-4

I'm living like the dead:
The mind of sinful man is death, but the mind controlled by the Spirit is life and peace -Romans 8:6

If I believe why won't I be?:
The use of "be" in this line refers to abiding.
"I am the vine, you are the branches; he who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit, for apart from Me you can do nothing. Just as the Father has loved Me, I have also loved you; abide in My love. If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love; just as I have kept My Father's commandments and abide in His love. -John 15:5,9,10

The one who says he abides in Him ought himself to walk in the same manner as He walked. -1 John 2:6

faith, hope, love, abide these three; but the greatest of these is love. - 1 Corinthians 13:13

Other scripture that relate:
Let all that I am praise the Lord; may I never forget the good things he does for me. -Psalm 103:2

The soul of the sluggard craves and gets nothing, But the soul of the diligent is made fat. -Proverbs 13:4

“However, I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me—the task of testifying to the gospel of God's grace.” -Acts 20:24

I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. -Ephesians 4:1

Live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God -Colossians 1:10
