A moon rests peacefully
About to awake,
About to set ablaze the silver
Within the comforting palm
Of a black glove
Simmering over the world:
I wonder if tonight this mystic acid
Will burn away
All the light
Or all the pain.
Silent melodies of golden roses
Grab the sun across the sky;
Clutch the warmth by the hand
And drag it behind the black.
All the while
As night covets the jewels beneath,
I wonder how the earth
Reached the sunset's glance:
I wonder if I could fall in this Winter
And slumber in warmth.

very pretty poem. got some lovely images in it and sensual wording. I dont like how every line starts with a captial letter as it breaks away from the smooth and sensual feel of the poem but I am happy with the content itself
